EISEP Intern (Unpaid)

Program Summary:

EISEP provides crisis intervention, case management and in-home services for isolated homebound seniors ages 60 and up. They connect seniors to available community resources that will help them remain safely and independently at home.

Primary Responsibilities include:

For interns to provide supportive phone contact, call clients on the EISEP wait list reassessing their current needs. Provide clients with emergency food deliveries, conducting wellness visits when appropriate. Case management assistance providing referrals and a warm hand off. 

Qualifications and Requirements include:

  • 1st Year Master of Social Work (MSW) Student
  • Valid New York State driver's license with a safe and responsible driving history to conduct home visits
  • Vehicle that is properly registered and insured by New York State and is available for use to conduct home visits

Schedule:

  • Opportunity available during Academic Year (Sept 2022 thru May 2023)
  • 14-21 Hours Weekly
  • Monday thru Friday between 9am - 5pm
  • Will be required to conduct in-home visits
  • Required to work on-site

Supervisor Credentials:

  • MSW, SIFI Certified
