The Opportunity
The THRIVE Housing Recovery Peer Advocate will provide recovery support services via coaching and group facilitation onsite at housing programs THRIVE has developed partnerships with. The THRIVE Housing Recovery Peer Advocate will provide majority of services in the field within the housing programs, addressing the needs of residents within the programs.
Responsibilities
Qualifications
Relevant life experience required, which includes personal experience living with a disability, history of substance use, or social/emotional challenge, and willingness to draw upon this experience to serve as a role model to support the recovery goals of individuals served.
Familiarity with recovery skills, support services, and local community resources required,
Additional Information
Full-time, 35 hours per week.
Schedule: Evenings, and 1 weekend day.
Location: Hauppauge
