Family Clinician

The Opportunity

The Marriage and Family Therapist provides counseling to individuals and their families engaged in Family and Children's Association's CCBHC (Certified Community Behavioral Health Center) services and seeking treatment for substance use, mental health, and other behavioral health concerns. The primary focus is to assess, treat and implement change in the overall, long-term well-being of individuals, couples, families and those in other relationships. Services are provided in office and in the community.


Responsibilities

  • Conduct individual, family and group sessions and any other prescribed treatment service in accordance with agency and regulatory standards established for this position
  • Maintain productivity and caseload targets
  • Conduct initial intake and comprehensive assessments and collaborate with clinical team on treatment recommendations
  • Develop, implement and monitor client treatment plans
  • Collaborate with external service providers to ensure coordination of care
  • Function as an integral member of the inter-disciplinary treatment team and participate in case conferences, team meetings, and in-service workshops as scheduled
  • Complete and maintain client case records in a timely manner and in compliance with agency and other regulatory standards
  • Complete all agency, program and regulatory reports, correspondence and other required documentation and submit it by the required deadline
  • Must be able to maintain confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA, OASAS, and OMH regulations.
  • Assume other tasks, projects and responsibilities assigned to support the operations of the program


Qualifications

Master's degree and licensure (LMFT) in Marriage and Family Therapy required.

Minimum of 1 year experience providing individual and group counseling to substance use or mental health population either working in a chemical dependency or mental health program (may include internship)
Bilingual in Spanish preferred.
Valid and clean New York State Driver's License


Compensation Information

  • The competitive compensation range is reflected with FCA's framework, culture, and values. Individual pay decisions will vary based on skills and experience' while still allowing for growth.


Additional Information

     Salary: $30-35/Hour

  • Schedule: (M-F), evening and weekend hours, as needed
  • This role is full-time (35 hours/week), Exempt/nonexempt
