Program Summary:

The FCA Safe Observant Senior Program provides support to elder abuse crime victims over the age of 60 who reside in Nassau County.  Services include a weekly support group when appropriate, resource connections, short term crisis counseling, and criminal justice navigation/advocacy.

Primary Responsibilities include:

Administrative Intern will assist with data collection and reporting, quality assurance surveys, building and maintaining a community network of referral sources, and coordinating interagency collaboration and service delivery. The ideal candidate will be a Junior or Senior level Human Services major or have a desire to work in the non-profit sector, as well as intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel. Knowledge of Nassau County resources/legal systems is a plus.

Qualifications and Requirements include:

  • Junior or Senior Level Undergraduate student majoring in Social Work/Human Services/Other
  • Intermediate Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Knowledge of Nassau County resources/legal systems is a plus

Schedule:

  • Opportunity available NOW and during the 2022/2023 Academic School Year (Summer 2022, Fall 2022 and Spring 2023 Semesters)
  • 10-14 Hours minimum; Monday thru Thursday between 9am - 5pm
  • Blended Work (Remote & On-Site Assignments)
