Children's Mental Health and Wellness Intern (Unpaid)

The student intern will provide CPST to clients ages 5-21 and be required to complete documentation in accordance with all agencies, county and state guidelines i.e., progress notes, treatment plans.  They will also gain experience in working with children with varying needs, will learn about various community resources, and will gain knowledge on how to advocate for their clients.  A valid NYS driver's license with a safe and responsible driving history and ability to conduct home and field visits.  When the intern is requested to transport a client, the program will provide an agency vehicle.

Qualifications and Requirements Include: 

  • BSW
  • Valid New York State driver's license with a safe and responsible driving history

Schedule:

  • Academic Year (September 2022 thru May 2023)
  •  Days and times are flexible as this internship requires seeing the clients when they are available which is afternoon/early evenings or weekends.
  • Will be required to conduct in-home visits.
  • Blended Work Assignment (Both Remote and On-Site Work)
