Job Title: Mental Health Clinician (CCBHC) (LMSW)

Location: Hicksville, NY (Long Island)
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM (2 evenings required)
Status: Full-Time, Non-Exempt
Salary Range: $30.00-35.00 per hour- Commensurate with Experience

The Opportunity

The Clinician / Mental Health Counselor will provide direct behavioral health treatment services to individuals across the lifespan. Therapy will be delivered through individual, family, and/or group sessions in our clinical office or out in the community. As a core provider within the Family & Children's Association (FCA) CCBHC (Certified Community Behavioral Health Center), you will deliver vital treatment services addressing complex mental health and behavioral health concerns on Long Island.

Responsibilities

  • Provide evidence-based individual, family, and group therapy sessions, as well as any other prescribed treatment services in accordance with agency and regulatory standards.
  • Maintain required clinical productivity levels and manage an assigned caseload effectively.
  • Conduct initial clinical intake and comprehensive assessments.
  • Develop, implement, and regularly monitor client treatment plans while collaborating with the interdisciplinary clinical team on treatment recommendations.
  • Collaborate with external healthcare and social service providers to support client progress and continuity of care.
  • Communicate regularly with courts, probation, parole, and other relevant external agencies to support client outcomes.
  • Actively participate as a member of the interdisciplinary treatment team, including attending case conferences, clinical team meetings, and in-service trainings.
  • Complete and maintain accurate, up-to-date client case records in compliance with agency policies and other regulatory requirements.
  • Prepare and submit all required reports, clinical correspondence, and documentation in a timely manner, in line with agency, program, and regulatory deadlines.
  • Maintain strict patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA, OASAS, and OMH regulations.
  • Perform additional clinical tasks, projects, and responsibilities as assigned to support CCBHC program operations.

Qualifications

Education & Credentials:

  • Master's degree in Social Work (MSW), Mental Health Counseling, or a related clinical field.
  • QHP (Qualified Health Professional) credential required: LMSW, LCSW, LMHC, or LMFT.
  • Candidates eligible for a limited permit to be obtained within 90 days of hire will also be considered.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience providing individual and group counseling to substance abuse or mental health populations, working in either a chemical dependency or mental health program (can include internship experience).
  • Strongly preferred experience working in Anger Management and/or Domestic Violence services.
  • Bilingual Spanish and English speaking capability is preferred.

  • Ability to understand, respect, and address cultural differences among clients and co-workers.
  • Must be able to maintain absolute confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA, OASAS, and OMH regulations.
