Anger Management Coordinator

Primary Responsibilities include:

-  Coordination and evaluation of Anger Management program in both counties.

-  Develop materials and organize efforts for outreach.

-  Conduct assessments, individual sessions and group facilitation for Anger Management Program for both mandated and voluntary clients.

-  Clinical responsibilities: drug and alcohol assessments, psycho-education, relapse prevention counseling for both mandated and voluntary clients.

-  Act as clinical office coverage as needed.

-  Attend and participate in clinical team meetings and participation in on-call clinical rotation.

-  Supervise Bachelor and Masters level interns.

-  Assume other tasks, responsibilities and projects as needed to ensure the effective operation of the department.

Qualifications and Requirements include:

  • Master's Degree in Social Work or Mental Health Counseling OR CASAC Certification
  • MSW-LP/MHC-LP/CASAC/LMSW/LMHC required; LCSW preferred
  • Excellent use of the English Language, Spanish a plus.

-  Valid NYS Driver's license with a safe and responsible driving history and a motor vehicle that is properly registered and insured in NYS.

  • Strong skills with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
  • Ability to recognize sound professional judgement in identifying and recognizing problems. Must be able to prioritize responsibilities, adapt tp changing priorities, establish goals and effectively manage time to achieve goals and deadlines.
  • Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Verbal and written skills must be professional and readily understood by a diverse population especially when conveying ideas, information, answering questions or providing instructions. Ability to establish and maintain relationships with coworkers and supervisors as well as the clients served. Must be able to maintain a professional demeanor when confronted with difficult situations.
  • Must be able to work in a busy, multi-task, deadline-orientated environment and complete assignments independently. Must be sensitive to the various cultural backgrounds of clients, co-workers with whom there is contact during the course of performing the responsibilities of the position


-  Full-time, 40 hours per week.
