Our Families Healing Together Program is seeking a Master's level Social Work intern student. Families Healing Together is a Suffolk County Opioid Settlement funded program that is focused on providing short-term individual and family therapy. The program also provides individuals and families with any assistance they may need for any other essential services. Alongside therapeutic services the program provides trainings on Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) to community providers and members.
As an intern with Families Healing Together, you will learn how to conduct intake forms and screenings, gain an understanding of therapeutic services, learn about Adverse Childhood Experiences, help provide resources to families in need, and provide monthly group services for families. This opportunity allows the intern to learn about the various opportunities in social work including therapy services, case management, and networking.
