SHERPA Program Supervisor

The Opportunity


The SHERPA Program Supervisor is responsible for oversight of the day-to-day operations of the program. He/she is responsible for supervision of Peer Recovery Coaches, ensuring that quality services are being provided and documented appropriately. 

Responsibilities

  • Serve as point of contact for external stakeholders including hospitals where the program is operating, along with Director.
  • Responsible for monitoring program activities to ensure quality care is provided, accurate data collection and reporting is completed, and service targets are achieved.
  • Supervise program staff, including but not limited to: approving/denying all leave requests; reviewing and approving time sheets, mileage and expenses; monitoring interactions with clients; ensuring that staff attend all required trainings and meetings; and completing initial and annual performance appraisals. 
  • Screen resumes, interview applicants, and hire and onboard staff as openings become available.
  • In collaboration with AVP and Director, monitor budget and all spending activities.
  • Accurately complete program/agency paperwork and submit by required deadlines.
  • Responsible for creating recovery coach schedules and managing absences, ensuring that all shifts are adequately covered.
  • Assume other tasks, projects and responsibilities as needed to ensure effective program and agency operations.

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelors degree in health and human service field OR Equivalent experience required
  • Familiarity with recovery and substance use treatment services, and knowledge of local community resources required.
  • Valid New York State Driver's License required.


Preferred

Master's Degree in Counseling or Social Work

NYS Certified Recovery Peer Advocate (CRPA) preferred.

Salary: $32.14/hr
