Program Coordinator

Location: Garden City, NY | Salary: $30.22/Hour | Schedule: Full-time, 35 hours per week

The Opportunity
 

The Program Coordinator provides support, guidance and supervision to the Nassau Family Center respite staff and family support staff. The coordinator is responsible for ensuring that program capacity is maintained, service staffing meets capacity needs and program documentation adheres to state and county guidelines.


Responsibilities

  • Train, supervise and support FCN family support services staff and provide oversight for FCN family support and respite programs.
  • Conduct individual and group supervision of family support and respite staff.
  • Act as a liaison with the county for FCN family support and respite programs as well as assist director in completing state reports and audits.
  • Complete all screening, interviewing and paperwork related to hiring FCN family support and respite program staff.
  • Conduct training of all respite and family support staff and ensure compliance with all training mandates.
  • Conduct ongoing recruiting of family support and respite staff.
  • Track and monitor all data/information required by state and county
  • Identify and attend high-impact outreach events to expand the program's reach and recruit new participants
  • Initiate and maintain partnerships with community organizations to embed supportive services across clinical and community-based service sites
  • Carry a small caseload as needed.

Qualilfications

  •  Bachelor's degree in social work and/or related human service field., MSW preferred.
  • Experience in human services working with children and youth.
  • Experience working in EHRs.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Supervisory experience preferred.
  • Valid and clean driver's license.
