Per Diem Registered Nurse

The Opportunity

FCA is seeking a Per Diem Registered Nurse.  This is an exciting opportunity to join a mission-driven, diverse, and forward-thinking team!

The Registered Nurse  will provide administrative oversight and supervision of multiple child and family centered programs, providing services to teen parents, families in conflict and immigrant/refugee families. 

More specifically, the responsibilities and qualifications of the position include:

Responsibilities

• Obtain updated physician authorization every 6 months for all residents.
• Schedule residents for necessary medical/mental health appointments and completing necessary follow ups and rescheduling. Including yearly physical, vision, and dental evaluations.
• Transport residents to medical appointments and adjust schedule to ensure Nurse is present.
• Consult with residents treating psychiatrists and other medical professionals.
• Participate in case conferences and bi-weekly treatment team meetings.
• Ensure the program medication compliance in all aspects of medication from: ordering medication to dispensing medication, training, and monitoring staff in their role with administering medication.
• Provide AMAP training to all employees.
• Responsible for developing and documenting the medication Medicaid Billable service for every resident monthly.
• Assist with all medical & psychiatric hospitalizations.
• Provide appropriate medical treatment to residents as needed.
• Be on call for evaluation and information in response to medical emergencies.

Qualifications 

Required:

·  Bachelor's Degree of Nursing required.

• NYS License Professional Nurse Required
• Familiarity with adolescent medical and mental health issues and psychotropic medication. 
• A valid New York State driver's license with a safe and responsible driving history.  

Compensation Information

• FCA is committed to a salary framework that aligns with our culture and values. The compensation range reflected is in alignment with our framework and individual pay decisions will vary based on skills and experience' while still allowing for growth.

Additional Information

• Salary: $46.70/hr
• Schedule: Per Diem, Non-Exempt
