Family and Children's Association (FCA) is seeking a highly analytical, systems-oriented Development Operations & Database Specialist to drive the operational backbone of our growing fundraising ecosystem. Responsibilities

Gift Processing, Reconciliation & Data Integrity

  • Fiscal Processing Accuracy: Accurately process all diversified philanthropic contributions (check, online, ACH, wire transfers) into the donor database, executing flawless system coding and digital documentation.
  • Financial Synergy: Architect precise gift batches and coordinate seamless cross-departmental reconciliations alongside the Finance team to maintain airtight internal controls.
  • Audit-Ready Operations: Maintain impeccable, audit-ready fiscal records, guaranteeing absolute compliance with standard nonprofit regulations and IRS tax receipting mandates.
  • Data Hygiene Architecture: Ensure the absolute accuracy, completeness, and systematic integrity of all constituent and donor records to eliminate data fragmentation.

Donor Communications & Stewardship Operations

  • Stewardship Velocity: Generate and deploy timely, highly accurate donor acknowledgment letters and localized stewardship communications to validate supporter investments.
  • Frictionless Troubleshooting: Proactively audit acknowledgment logs to identify and instantly resolve missing or delayed donor communications.
  • Elite Donor Experience: Guarantee that every philanthropic stakeholder receives a premium, professional, and psychologically validating experience at every operational touchpoint.

Proactive Revenue Stewardship & Donor Follow-Up

  • Revenue Preservation: Actively monitor transactional data and deploy agile interventions to capture failing revenue streams and prevent donor churn.
  • Proactive Crisis Resolution: Take decisive initiative to trace and follow up on declined or failed recurring credit card transactions, outstanding pledge commitments, and lapsed donor communications.
  • Risk Mitigation Metrics: Systematically identify at-risk or lapsed donors, implementing strategic re-engagement protocols or flagging accounts for leadership outreach.
  • Leakage Prevention: Oversee daily data touchpoints to ensure no individual donor interaction or funding opportunity slips through programmatic cracks.

Database Management, Reporting & Systems Optimization

  • System Migration Leadership: Support the complex data transition from Raiser's Edge to Givebutter, leading data scrubbing, validation, and mapping protocols.
  • CRM Subject Matter Expertise: Rapidly master and act as the super-user for the Givebutter platform, identifying structural opportunities to streamline workflows and maximize database efficiency.
  • Advanced Data Intelligence: Formulate comprehensive monthly fundraising intelligence reports, donor demographic insights, and real-time campaign performance analytics.
  • Strategic Audience Segmentation: Build sophisticated lists, queries, and target segmentations to power localized appeals, large-scale events, and multi-channel outreach.

Development Operations & Cross-Team Collaboration

  • Campaign Workflow Execution: Drive operational support for complex fundraising workflows spanning annual campaigns, signature events, corporate partnerships, and peer-to-peer initiatives.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner directly with the Donor Communications lead to map out, operationalize, and execute multi-layered donor journeys.
  • Peer-to-Peer Optimization: Provide precise tracking, data segmentation, and platform training to support peer-to-peer fundraising campaigns, organizing supporter dashboards and tracking live activity metrics.
  • Lifecycle Operationalization: Systems-engineer systematic donor tracking to guarantee coordinated, timely touchpoints across the entire development division.

Qualifications

  • Educational Foundation: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience (1-3+ years preferred) to ensure strong analytical and systemic comprehension.
  • Operational Expertise: Proven experience in nonprofit development operations, specialized gift processing, or comprehensive CRM database management.
  • Technical Fluency: Demonstrated hands-on experience navigating donor databases or complex enterprise CRM systems (e.g., Raiser's Edge, Salesforce, Givebutter, or similar software).
  • Systemic Agility: Proven capacity to learn, adapt, and master new technological platforms, data architectures, and software integrations rapidly.
  • Fundraising Acumen: Strong operational understanding of fundraising lifecycle fundamentals, donor retention metrics, and gift stewardship workflows.
  • Impeccable Precision: Exceptional, hyper-focused attention to detail and an absolute commitment to data accuracy and validation.
  • Problem-Solving Mastery: Strong organizational, critical thinking, and collaborative communication skills to interface effectively across a remote workspace.

Compensation Information

  • Hourly Rate: $30.00 / Hour
  • FCA's organizational framework, equitable culture, and core values reflect a highly competitive compensation structure. Individual pay decisions will vary fluidly based on unique skill sets and prior field experience, intentionally allowing for robust internal professional growth.
