Database Specialist

The Opportunity

FCA is excited to announce an opportunity for the position of Database Specialist. As we continue to grow and evolve, we are seeking a part-time employee to assist in or Development team!

The ideal Database Specialist will create a positive workplace culture, fostering employee development, and ensuring that employees are equipped with the skills needed to contribute effectively to FCA's success. This role requires gift processing, administration, acknowledgment, and reconciliation.


Responsibilities

  • Process donations, prepare acknowledgement letters and other correspondences, along with timely donor follow-up.
  • Manage department's multi-faceted fundraising workflow (events, annual appeal, recurring appeals, corporate partnerships, grants, etc.)
  • Oversee day to day milestones for projects.
  • Review active donor engagements and lapsed individuals, and corporations.
  • Research potential new relationships, for donor engagement, cultivation, and solicitation.
  • Manage and maintain Raiser's Edge database and all donor profiles to include email addresses, cell phone numbers, and complete mailing addresses.
  • Create monthly fundraising reports and other database reports, as needed.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or 1-3 years of professional experience.
  • Strong understanding of database security principles and best practices.
  • Experience with database backup and recovery procedures.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Effective communication and collaboration abilities

Required:

  • Proven experience as a Database Specialist
  • Proficiency in using Raiser's Edge and Microsoft Office software, including mail merges, spreadsheets, and content sharing.
  • Strong understanding of fundraising principles and development operations.

Compensation Information

  • The competitive compensation range is reflected with FCA's framework, culture, and values. Individual pay decisions will vary based on skills and experience' while still allowing for growth.

Additional Information

  • Salary: $30/hr. - $35/hr.
  • Schedule: (M-F), evening and weekend hours, as needed
  • This role is part-time (up to 19 hours/week), non-exempt.
