Location: Garden City  | Schedule: Full Time, 35 hours per week| Status: Exempt | Salary Range: $115,000-130,000


The Opportunity

FCA is seeking a Controller who will be responsible for oversight of all finance, accounting and reporting activities. The Controller will lead the daily finance operations and ensure that systems and procedures are in place to support effective program operations.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all accounts, ledgers and reporting systems ensuring compliance with GAAP and regulatory requirements
• Maintain effective internal controls
• Coordinate audit activity
• Consistently analyze financial data and present financial reports in an accurate and timely manner
• Assist with the annual budgeting and planning process
• Oversee all financial, project/program and grant accounting
• Manage cash flow
• Work in partnership with program leaders and their staff to assess financial efficacy of program operations and establish finance and administrative systems to support program operations
• Leverage strength of current fiscal team members and develop and implement training programs to maximize and reach individual and organizational goals
• Provide leadership in strengthening internal communications at all levels and promote a positive and supportive work environment

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field; CPA and/or MBA preferred
• Seven to ten years of accounting and finance experience
• Experience in reporting financial information
• Experience in a complex nonprofit with multiple programs
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
