Job Title: Intern (Case Management and/or Services Intern)

Program Title: Non-Medicaid and Health Home Case Management, Children and Family Treatment and Support Services (CFTSS) and Family Center Nassau Respite

Reports To: Coordinator/Director of Respective Program

Position Summary: The Children's Mental Health and Wellness Division offers an array of services to meet the individual needs and strengths of youth and families. Our home and community-based services programs offer support to youth ages 5-21 who have a mental health diagnosis.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: The intern will provide skill building, case management and/or planned respite services and be required to complete documentation that complies with state, county, agency and program regulations.

Sill Builder and Respite Minimum Qualifications: Junior or senior level undergraduate social work student or master's level social work student

?  Some experience working with children and families preferred

Case Management Minimum Qualifications: Bachelors level student in any human service related program with 2 years of experience relevant to their field of study.

Work Environment: A valid NYS driver's license with a safe and responsible driving history and ability to conduct home and field visits is required, along with a motor vehicle that is properly registered and insured with NYS.  When the intern is requested to transport a client, an agency vehicle will be provided. Days and times are flexible as this internship requires seeing the clients when they are available which is afternoon/early evenings or weekends
