Access Supervisor - Clinical Services

Location: Hempstead/Hicksville, NY (split between locations) | Schedule: Full Time, 35 hours per week, Monday through Friday| Status: Non-Exempt |Salary Range: $62,000- $66,000/annually

The Opportunity

Family and Children's Association (FCA) is seeking a dedicated Access Supervisor to lead the Access Team at our Family Treatment & Recovery Centers. This role is vital to ensuring timely, high-quality access to care in alignment with the Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic (CCBHC) model. You will oversee screening and assessment processes, support peer services, and facilitate coordinated care for individuals and families affected by substance use and mental health challenges.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee access workflows including pre-screening, screening/assessment, and initial treatment planning.
  • Supervise Certified Peer Recovery Advocates, Peer Specialists, and Family Peer Advocates in alignment with Office of Addiction Services and Supports (OASAS) and Office of Mental Health (OMH) standards.
  • Ensure all documentation, reporting, and correspondence meets regulatory and agency timelines.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to support coordinated referrals and community partnerships.
  • Provide supervision to Access Team members and support staff training in evidence-based screening tools.
  • Maintain a small caseload and provide coverage for group therapy sessions as needed.
  • Actively participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and case conferences.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, or related field
  • QHP credential required (LCSW, LMSW, LMFT, LMHC, LCAT); limited permit holders considered with eligibility within 90 days
  • At least 1 year providing screening/assessment in a substance use or mental health setting (internship experience may count)
  • Prior supervisory experience preferred
  • Experience working with Peer staff preferred
  • Bilingual English/Spanish preferred
  • Valid NYS Driver's License, access to insured personal vehicle for home visits and off-site services.
