THRIVE Program Coordinator

Location: Hauppauge, NY | Schedule: Full Time, 35 hours per week| Status: Non-Exempt |Salary: $25.27/Hour

The Opportunity

FCA is seeking a Program Coordinator for THRIVE, Long Island's first recovery center dedicated to providing support, resources, and empowerment to individuals in recovery and their families.

The THRIVE Program Coordinator is responsible for providing peer-based recovery support, developing individualized recovery plans, and offering mentorship to individuals and families navigating substance use recovery. The Coordinator also oversees THRIVE volunteers and contributes to outreach, community engagement, and the development of recovery-oriented programming that reflects the needs of the community. 

Responsibilities

  • Oversee all THRIVE volunteers, including recruitment, onboarding, scheduling, supervision, and engagement; facilitate monthly volunteer professional development trainings, volunteer meetings, and Vision Team meetings.
  • Provide one-on-one peer support and recovery coaching that promotes self-advocacy, personal accountability, and individualized pathways to recovery.
  • Conduct strengths-based assessments and collaborate with participants to develop and monitor individualized recovery plans.
  • Facilitate and co-facilitate groups, workshops, and recovery-oriented activities that enhance skills, resiliency, and community connection.
  • Connect participants to appropriate community resources, treatment providers, and support services, assisting with navigation and reduction of barriers.
  • Plan, coordinate, and participate in community outreach initiatives, special events, and public education efforts that promote THRIVE's mission and deepen community engagement.
  • Identify emerging needs within the recovery community and collaborate with leadership, staff, and volunteers to design responsive programming and events.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of volunteer activities, participant encounters, recovery plans, referrals, and outcomes in accordance with agency policies.
  • Support the mission and daily operations of THRIVE by participating in staff meetings, trainings, and other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required. 
  • Certified Recovery Peer Advocate (CRPA) or Provisional (CRPA-P) credential licensure required.
  •  Must have knowledge of recovery principles, peer support best practices, and community resources.
  • Proficient computer skills with MS Office.
  • Valid and clean driver's license required.
