Families Count Intern (Unpaid)

Program Summary:

The Families Count program will provide case management, family mediation, and deliver the Active Parenting Curriculum to 50 families a year. Each family will receive services for 6 months, plus after care services.

Primary Responsibilities include:

The intern's role will be to provide case management and counseling services to individuals and families. They will conduct group work, home visits, family mediation, and be responsible for facilitating the Active Parent Curriculum. The ideal candidate will have experience in case management and family work, as well as group facilitation skills. The intern may be required to conduct in-home visits.  

Qualifications and Requirements include:

• 2^nd Year Master of Social Work (MSW) student
• Valid New York State driver's license with a safe and responsible driving historyto conduct home visits.
• Vehicle that is properly registered and insured by New York State and is available for use to conduct home visits.
• Bilingual Spanish Preferred but not required

Schedule:

• Opportunity available during the 2022/2023 Academic School Year (Fall 2022 and Spring 2023 Semesters)
• 14-21 Hours Weekly
• Requires one weekday from 12pm - 8pm for workshops; 9am - 5pm on other days
• Blended Assignment (Both Remote & On-Site Work)

Supervisor Credentials:

• LCSW-R, SIFI Certified
